It was an absolute pleasure partnering up with Oliver Tuck Construction on this project, which was a real highlight for all of our team involved. We worked closely with Ollie and the homeowners from start to finish and we couldn't be more proud of this house and what Ollie and the owners have achieved - it is a real beauty and worthy of this award.

Ollie also took out the Regional Lifestyle Award which is well deserved and great to see a local Northland business being elevated that high. This is what House of the year had to say about this stunning home.
"High above the ocean stands an incredible house with jaw-dropping sea views. The beautiful property is the result of a total renovation and 153sqm extension, delivering attention to the finer details. The bedroom wing was gutted and renovated and the rest of the house demolished, rebuilt and extended so the home now covers 441sqm. Site access and the construction of a giant underground retaining wall were among the building challenges, but the property’s connection with its environment and its architectural features are highlights.
Inside, five luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms can be found, with two living areas to retreat to. The dining area opens onto the deck facing the ocean, so meals can be enjoyed in this stunning setting. Part of this space is the minimalist dark-toned kitchen.
Down the hill by the pool, is a covered living area providing summer shade and a fireplace. A waterfall deck merges into the landscape, and a glass balustrade doesn’t distract. The home has been built into the hill to reduce the skyline impact and its native-bush surroundings were extensively rejuvenated and brought up to the house."
