Solar Electrician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be part of a company that is making a real difference in the field of energy efficiency. Hubands Energy are a locally owned and operated company passionate about Northland and we have been operating for over 40 years.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Solar Electrician to join our busy, friendly team. Family values are at the forefront of our business, and we truly care about work/life balance, with this position being predominantly Monday to Friday. The work is diverse, and you will have the opportunity to install solar and storage batteries for both on-grid and off-grid installations.

The role

Maintain an excellent level of customer service at all times
Work with the wider installation team, assisting on jobs wherever appropriate
Complete all job-related paperwork daily
Adherence to company health and safety procedures at all times
Check tools are being correctly maintained and work effectively on a monthly basis
Undertake further training as required
General duties as required

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

NZ Citizenship/NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
An up-to-date practicing licence and a clean driver’s licence with the ability to drive a manual
A solid track record in general electrical systems and/or experience with heat pumps
A practical mindset, be resourceful, motivated and have the ability to problem-solve
A good sense of humour, high integrity/morals and the ability to work well in teams

Heat Pump Electrician

The opportunity

We are looking for a Heat Pump Electrician to join our busy, friendly team. Family values are at the forefront of our business, and we truly care about work/life balance, with this position being predominantly Monday to Friday. The work is diverse, and you will have the opportunity to install systems such as central vacuums, underfloor hydronic heating, ventilation, and a variety of other energy-efficient products.

The role

Maintain an excellent level of customer service at all times
Work with the wider installation team, assisting on jobs wherever appropriate
Complete all job-related paperwork daily
Adherence to company health and safety procedures at all times
Check tools are being correctly maintained and work effectively on a monthly basis, e.g. changing the oil on vac pump, etc.
Undertake further training as required
General duties as required
